Iain Dale, Dizzy, Devil’s Kitchen and Nadine Dorries are all appearing on a panel together on the fringes of the Tory Party Conference in Birmingham on Monday September 29^th^.
Sounds interesting.
I’ve never been to one of these conference things before, but Birmingham is only half an hour away from me by train. Anybody else feel like jumping on the bandwagon? In lieu of a ‘UK Political BloggerCon’, seems like as good a place as any to have a laugh.

I do hope you can attend and let us know what gives at these do’s. What would be your burning question to ask them?
PS Shouldn’t these shindigs now be called assemblies or congregations rather than conferences?

I don’t really know what Party Political conferences are about – I’ve never been particularly interested, to be honest. I quite like the idea of a bunch of bloggers on a stage, though – sounds like something mildly interesting.
I’ve got a blog post brewing about why I think the next decade should see the end of political canvassing, but I’m absolutely cream crackered and a bit busy for writing long, thoughtful posts at the moment. Grrr.
I have no opinion on Conference/Assembly/Congregation… Words are our slaves and we are their masters. Never the other way round.
I don’t quite get what it’s all about either. I don’t know if they just let any old knobhead walk in, or if you have to book a place, how to go about attending fringe meetings, etc. etc. Perhaps I’ll never find out 
I got the same idea as you, that it’d be a laugh & I might go, but reluctantly I’ve had to bow out for money & time reasons…
