It’s Not Really An Emergency, Either…
Dizzy is pointing out that ‘Emergency Contraception’ isn’t really contraception, since it is used after conception. I have to point out, it’s not really an emergency, either. It’s not like you need to call an ambulance to get the pills.
Of course, ‘It’s Not Contraception, It’s Not For Emergencies’ wouldn’t make a very good marketing slogan…
Update: According to Devil’s Kitchen, it is a contraceptive after all, since the egg won’t have been fertilised by the time the pill is taken, so the pills do indeed prevent conception taking place.
