Patently Rages Against the New Labour Machine
Gordon Brown: this is it. This is quite enough. I now hate you, both personally and professionally. You have given me nothing; New Labour has not improved things for me in the slightest. … You no longer rule with my consent. Your administration no longer has my co-operation.
Is there anything we can do? Is leaving the only option left? I don’t feel angry, I just feel so powerless. And sad. And really scared. I don’t want to leave Britain, I love this country – everything about it aside from its government.
New Zealand beckons, though. Who’s with me?

I remember that. You never did go to Portugal…
To be honest, I love New Zealand anyway. I’d move their in a heartbeat if it wasn’t so far away from my (extended) family. I also wanted to move to Berlin earlier in the year – some really good jobs there for someone with my qualifications, although I didn’t get any of the ones I applied for. Doesn’t help that my German is rustier than a Reliant Robin at the seaside.
Anyway, these bastards could drive anyone away.
I had my bags packed c.two years ago. Can’t sell the bloody house now so I’m stuck here.
Hang on in, Stu, one day at a time. It’s sad to think you, at your age, are contemplating leaving because of these gits.
