Pre-Budget Report Debate is Better Late Than Never
Breaking News:
George Osborne said it was a ‘disgrace’ there had been no debate planned into Mr Darling’s ‘reckless gamble’. Speaker Michael Martin said he was ‘satisfied’ it was an important enough issue to prompt an emergency debate.
It was disgraceful that there was no proper debate on the budget yesterday – particularly seeing as it was the most talked about subject on the blogosphere all evening and this morning as well – there was so much great comment that I couldn’t link to it all.

Good move from the Tories, and to get them all in place at the right time. Slightly surpised Speaker Martin agreed but he’s got so much form on this sort of thing.
Completely agree with you that there’s so much chatter going on, each coming from their own pov. My summary is simple: Labour doomed – can you do a front-page countdown of the max number of days we have to put with them, a la 24?
