Dan Lyons has been among the greatest satirists in the blogosphere (and possibly beyond) and the news that he’s quitting blogging is saddening. Almost as saddening as when he stopped writing the Secret Diary of Steve Jobs blog earlier this year.
Even worse than just stopping, he’s taking down his blog because his employer objected to something he wrote on it. Really – grow up, Newsweek. A personal blog is personal business. If I were Dan Lyons I’d quit the job and start trying to monetise the blog. John Gruber can do it, after all
