The Economics of Giving It Away
Chris Anderson in the Wall Street Journal considers how well the ‘free’ and ad-supported businesses, such as Facebook and Google, will survive the recession. Most people seem to agree nowadays that if you want to make money from something, you should charge for it.
I proposed a possible revenue stream for Twitter the other day. Although I think my name for it might need a little work.
