It’s worth re-linking, on a morning such as this, to Patently’s explanation of the value of positive thinking:

Life genuinely is what you make it. Looking back, if I want to make the last few days seem depressing, then I can. Equally, if I want to make them seem good, I can do that too. The same material can be worked in either direction.

Today, I’m embroiled in an argument at work with some negative sods who think snow is just a darned inconvenience. “Alright for an hour, but then it’s just a pain in the neck.” Forgetting, of course, that the snow is not only beautiful but also incredibly good fun.

I will be delighted to direct them all to my thoughts on positivity, and to how awesome my morning has been so far. Also, how much fun snow is when you have a quad bike handy1.

Trust me on this one, I’m happier being happy than they are being miserable.

That is all.

  1. That would be me, my Dad, my brother and my sister on the quads. Back in 2005. []
