From Man to Pig and From Pig to Man
Ambush Predator jumps on ‘charity’ Shelter for being generally horrible people and acting like the large corporations that charities so often claim to despise
Imagine a company director told his staff that they’d all have to work an extra two-and-a-half hours a week for no extra pay. And if they didn’t like it, they’d be issued dismissal papers. Imagine the workforce went on strike for weeks. Imagine that company then spent over £500,000 refurbishing its head office.
Do you think there’d be anguished columns in the ‘Guardian’ and other left-wing papers? Screams of ‘fat cat’? Oh, of course there would.
So, why is it different when a charity does it? Because I don’t recall seeing anything on it at the time…
Makes a nice addendum to reports of the lifestyle of trade union bosses from over the weekend, doesn’t it.
Very poor form.
One rule for the lefties, another rule for everyone else.
Quelle surprise.
Thank you for putting that up. It does, in part, explain my attitude towards most charities, big and small. The exemptions from tax and regulations has allowed individuals, and what I would consider to be plain old businesses, to make fortunes as they abuse our trust.
I also despise both Labour and the Tories for wanting to encourage the Third Sector to take on cheap labour and running costs that directly compete with bona fide small businesses.
