Twittegration
Short version: You can now follow @sharpesopinion on Twitter for real-time updates of when I publish a post on Sharpe’s Opinion.
Long Version (with explanation): I use Twitter in two different ways: first and foremost it’s a conversation medium, where I chat with people and have fun. That’s my favourite usage. Secondly, though I use it as a newswire service – I follow @bbcnews and a couple of other news-based feeds, and I follow people like @guidofawkes and @tomharrismp who post updates to their Twitter feeds every time they put a new post on their blog.
I know from the fact that I almost always click on the links in these auto-generated tweets that it is a valuable way of keeping people up-to-date with new posts on this blog. I’ve never done it, though, because I didn’t want my blog updates to turn my already-fairly-active Twitter feed into ‘spam’. Setting up a new account is the best of both worlds. So, if you want to keep up-to-date, come along, follow @sharpesopinion, and never miss a post again!
