A Pattern of Violence and Lies
Graeme Archer is unhappy with the way the police have handled themselves over the last decade, pointing out a pattern of behaviour in which incidents of violence occur, and then are denied by the Police Authorities until damning evidence appears.
The police, particularly in London, appear to have forgotten that they police only with our consent. They are not the armed wing of the state. Some reforms are therefore long overdue.
Even with deepest respect for the job that the vast majority of policemen do, it’s undeniable that the Police have form for lying about their misconduct.
And yet they are still in the running to win another general election. Sickening.
“They are not the armed wing of the state.”
Someone tell the government. I hold the Labour parliaments entirely to blame for this malaise. I can bore for Britain on the horrific things they have done to the fragile balance between police powers and accountability.
