Links Hiatus
I’m going to be giving link-blogging a break for a while. I know quite a few people actually like the links I post (for which I am extremely touched, thank you all), but now that the sunshine has come out in force, to be honest I fancy spending more time being a normal person, and less time searching around teh interwebs for interesting stuff to link to.
So, apologies if you’ve been looking forward to your daily dose of random links appearing here – but to make up for this sad loss I’m going to try and write longer posts more often in the future, and I’ll still be posting stuff up on Twitter. Right now, though, I’m off to have a cool can in the garden.
Enjoy the sunshine, folks.
I hope it resumes, I love linkblogging. Most of my Twitter is just links, & I’m always dead flattered when someone clicks on them, it raises my self-esteem if someone deems me worthwhile
With some blogs, I can’t guarantee I’ll sustain enough interest to read them regularly, but they occasionally deliver the goods, so I choose which posts to follow through (of course the “editorial” line helps me decide). But if I find that they produce sustained writing of quality, I will of course add them to my ‘roll, & I’ve got into many blogs in this fashion.
Re: real life. I am going to Bakewell (which isn’t a huge distance from me as I live in Stoke, & I gather isn’t far from you either). I think they are having a farmers’ market. I’ll look a bit silly if they’re not. But I’ll just knock around the town anyway. You can get some proper stuff &, if not enjoyable, it’s the best way I can think of of buying what I need.
Haven’t drank for a while- I think of it as a reward for eating well & doing enough exercise, which I always think as I haven’t done even though I probably have- but I will be letting my hair down next Saturday & showing these teenagers how it’s done
Enjoy the sun, Stu. We’ll cope – somehow. Until the autumn, at least.
