Nadine Goes Insane, Creates Conspiracy Theory
Nadine Dorries MP seems to be having a little trouble separating fiction from reality…
Enter the Barclay brothers, the billionaire owners of The Daily Telegraph. Rumour is that they are fiercely Euro sceptic and do not feel that either of the main parties are Euro sceptic enough. They have set upon a deliberate course to destabilise Parliament, with the hope that the winners will be UKIP and BNP.
Their end-game is, apparently, to fill parliament with racists and celebrities (and, who knows, perhaps even some racist celebrities) for, erm, some purpose that isn’t entirely clear.
Media moguls, manipulating public opinion, in a shameless power grab, for no particular reason? I’ve never heard that one before…
Blue Eyes is also having a go, quite rightly, at Ms Dorries for her excessive chutzpah. According to Nadine, it seems, the fact that so many MPs are crooks is just shows that MPs need to be paid three times as much money. You know, because when somebody is stealing your money the best thing to do is hand them even more of it.
Any MPs who think they aren’t paid enough and and would make a better living elsewhere: step down and go make a better living elsewhere. You’re not the only people in the country capable of sitting in Parliament. There’s plenty of others who would happily sit in your place for a £60,000 salary.
What about MPs who don’t think they’re paid enough, but have no useful skills in the real world and couldn’t hold down a Saturday job filling shelves at Tesco?
Because I have to say, there seem to be quite a few of them.
“…..The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which”
Three cheers for your final paragraph!
To pay MPs three times as much would be about as effective as Danegeld. What needs to change is their attitude of “entitlement” to a luxurious lifestyle.
