Parish Notice: Less Politics, More Technology for a While. But First, Twatgate
Sorry to all the politics folks, but this blog is probably going to go quite design/technology oriented for a while, whilst I get some of this stuff out of my system. I’m not sure that’s such a bad thing, though, seeing as the only thing to talk about in the UK politics ‘sphere at the moment seems to be whether or not David Cameron should have made a pun about Twitter.
Incidentally, the correct answer is ‘no one gives a toss’, and this is a view I share with Blue Eyes, who writes better than I on the matter.
As for those hypocrites who say ‘for onceCameron came across as a human!’ before immediately adding that such behaviour ‘shows a lack of judgement’ and is inappropriate for the Leader of the Opposition: ask yourself why you don’t think he normally comes across as human. He knows that idiots like you will pore over every single utterance he makes, and so he has to watch his words extremely carefully. This gives him a somewhat ‘measured’ (or ‘robotic’) appearance. You’ve caused the problem you’re now complaining about. Well done.
Discussed this with hubby this morning. I had no idea that twat was anything other than another form of twit until he told me. He didn’t know until…
Looking through dictionaries solved the problem. If you were the one who originally conflated the meanings, speak now.

Stu, do what you will and enjoy.
Did I hear my name? Complimenting my looks? You weren’t dissing me, were you?
I love the smell of compliments in the evening. Please see your previous post on how to write a good blog!
There’s a lot of comment around about how young people don’t associate that word with a lady’s bits, but more as a bigger version of a ‘twit’.
Where was Dave speaking? A youth radio show.
So, who was complaining? Middle English professors?
Now I know why they call it ‘silly season’ for the media…
