Introducing the second iPhone App by Strawberry Milkshake Software: ShapeSorter!
The imaginatively named ShapeSorter is a shape matching game for small children. Shapes appear in the centre of the screen, dragging them with your finger to the corresponding ‘hole’ around the outside scores points – and what do points mean?! Every five consecutive points, the shapes all jumble up into random positions again, for a brand new challenge.
ShapeSorter is available right now on the iTunes App Store and is a must for any gadget-minded parent. I can tell you that my little beta tester genuinely doesn’t stop asking to play with it.
At £1.19/$1.99, it’s also stunningly cheap.
The game features the voice talent of my gorgeous daughter Kayleigh, and to be honest, hearing her shout ‘MOON!’ when you correctly match the crescent shape with the crescent hole is pretty much worth the price of entry on its own. I should also mention, because if I don’t I’m sure I won’t hear the end of it in the comments, that the moon shape, and indeed the maths used to make it, was kindly donated by the ever-delightful Charlotte Gore.
You can also jumble the shapes up by shaking the phone. I can’t tell you how much Kayleigh enjoys doing just that.
To see a video of the game in action, have a look at the ShapeSorter page on the Strawberry Milkshake website (or indeed, click on the screenshot on the right). Once you’ve done that, go and buy it from the iTunes App Store.
